Sustainable Bridge Construction – How does It Work?
Bridges are a central component of our infrastructure. They consume many resources and contribute significantly to emissions in the construction sector. However, the question of how we can plan our bridges more sustainably has not yet been at the centre of public interest.
Our Berlin-based colleague Andreas Malcher, among others, is campaigning for this to change soon. In our video podcast, he explains what environmentally friendly and resource-saving options are available in bridge construction – and why sustainability needs to be taken into account as early as possible in the planning stage.
