Climate-Friendly Art Development for Children
The KinderKunstLabor was opened in the Altoona Park in St. Pölten, Austria, in the summer of 2024 – Werner Sobek was commissioned with the structural engineering of the project, which was planned with sustainability in mind throughout. The “Children’s Art Laboratory” was designed by Schenker Salvi Weber Architekten ZT GmbH, Vienna.
The triangular building, which extends over four floors, houses a centre including a museum dedicated to the development of children’s understanding of art. The laminated timber facade creates a unique light and shadow effect in the building and offers beautiful views of the park.
