Senior Facade Designer (m/f/x)

Werner Sobek New York is seeking a Façade Designer with 4-7 years’ experience to work closely within the façade design team at their Hudson Square office. Projects have a vast range in scale, detail and complexity, and the position requires being able to work on multiple projects at a time, at both technical and aesthetic levels. The job tasks will range from conceptualizing building envelope schemes, to drafting technical façade construction details, to assisting with specifications writing and visiting construction sites and preparing technical reports. This position will require frequent interaction with clients, contractors, and manufacturers and so impeccable written and spoken communication skills are absolutely necessary.

Applicants must possess a minimum of 4 years of design or engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years working specifically as a façade designer or engineer. A professional degree in architecture or engineering is required. Applicants must have solid and extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and Rhinoceros. Experience using Revit is ideal and preferred, but not required. Only applicants with the requisite experience, skills, and interest should apply.
