#17 Germany’s Largest Timber Modular Construction Project – The P18 Urban Quarter
The new P18 urban quarter in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt is a beacon project for resource-saving and energy-efficient construction. In a very short time, the Stuttgart-based company AH Aktiv-Haus has succeeded here in realising an exemplary project based on modules designed by Werner Sobek, which can be groundbreaking for the urgently needed paradigm shift in the building industry.
In the podcast, our project manager Max Mannschreck reports on the ideas behind the planning of the project as well as the challenges associated with the rapid realisation. The aim of the design was to develop a plus-energy quarter built from renewable raw materials. When planning the buildings, special attention was therefore paid to energy performance and systems engineering.
