Architecture Award Düsseldorf 2020
The BDA Düsseldorf has been organising the “Award for Good Buildings” competition since 1998. From 2020, the competition will now be awarded under the name “Düsseldorf Architecture Prize”. The award ceremony will continue to raise awareness of high-quality architecture. The Kö-Bogen II in Düsseldorf’s city centre, designed by the architectural firm Ingenhoven, was awarded the prize. The jury was impressed by the project’s intensive examination of ecological issues and its transformation into an aesthetic, functional and effective urban ensemble. Werner Sobek was responsible for the entire façade planning and structural design of the green façade construction for Kö-Bogen II. Congratulations to all involved on this great award! More information on the award ceremony is available here.
