Brandenburg Giant Honoured!
On 28 November 2024, the German Engineering Prize 2024 was awarded in Berlin – our Niederfinow ship lift project also received an award!
“With projects like the Niederfinow boat lift, it is clear that engineering not only provides technical solutions, but also sustainable concepts for future generations,’ said the jury in its statement.
The German Engineering Prize has been awarded every two years since 2016, alternating with the German Architecture Prize as the official state prize of the German government. It recognises the diversity and quality of civil engineering in Germany and underlines the importance of innovation and resource conservation in the construction industry.
A great honour for our giant lift, which was recently featured in the ARD early evening series “Polizeiruf 110”!
