Design Challenge 2021 in New York

We are pleased to announce that for the third year in a row, Enrica Oliva, CEO and Partner of Werner Sobek New York, has served as a judge for Metals in Construction magazine’s Design Challenge 2021 competition.

For the competition, architects and engineers were asked how they would design affordable housing at Sunnyside Yard in Queens. There were many submissions again this year and Enrica Oliva commented: “It’s encouraging to see design teams coming up with exciting solutions and sustainability, renewable energy and innovative technologies being brought to the forefront of the designs.”
