EDGE East Side: The Sustainable Office Building of the Future
EDGE East Side, an innovative high-rise office building, is being built in Berlin. With a height of approx. 142 metres, it will be a new landmark for the German capital. Werner Sobek is responsible for the entire building physics (including energy balancing) in addition to the facade and height access planning for the project by the Copenhagen-based architectural firm BIG CPH Bjarke Ingels Group.
EDGE East Side is located not far from the Warsaw Bridge and is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and constructed in a modular design. The facade is a high-energy envelope.
DGNB platinum certification is being sought for the building.
