Facade Organizes the Appearance
Our facade project in Nürtingen, the GARP Education Center, received an award at the Hugo Häring Prize 2023. The building, designed by Riehle Koeth, extends the existing educational campus of the Rudolf Steiner Waldorf School and Hölderlin Grammar School. The new pavilion-like building for the training and further education center for metalworking professions blends in perfectly with the landscape context.
In addition to the “calm and balanced simplicity that this building radiates through its appearance”, the jury also praised the facade designed by Werner Sobek: “The folded metal facade, which consistently spans the entire building … organizes the entire appearance“.
