Greenhouse Gas Budgets for the Building Industry – the Viennese Special Way
In a very descriptive article, our colleague Dr. Frederic Waimer, office manager of Werner Sobek Vienna, reports on the greenhouse gas budget and its consequences for the building industry. His focus here is on Austria and in particular the capital of our neighbouring country.
Because 71% of waste in Austria is generated in the building sector, the city of Vienna developed very strict specifications for recyclability and emission budgets, which are very high even in international comparison. Frederic Waimer shows how the path in the neighbouring country towards more sustainability differs from the measures in this country and what special path the City of Vienna is taking in this regard.
