Humanity has Too Little Timber
Unlike other current crises, global warming is a global problem that does not stop at borders. The advancing climate change will cause migration movements that will dwarf all previous ones. Distribution wars between the so-called 1st and 3rd world will assume extreme proportions. Although wood is an easily transportable material, it is not sufficient as a building material for all of humanity.
Until the end of October 2022, the Architekturzentrum in the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf is showing the exhibition “Werner Sobek: 17 Theses“. It deals with the ecological impact and responsibility of the building industry.
