Climate-Silient Urban Development – Expert Discussion on “Innovative and Sustainable Building Materials”

Werner Sobek will speak on 21.10.2022 in the House of Representatives Baden Württemberg at an event organised by the Green Party in the state parliament. The event is open to the public and can also be followed online.

The building industry causes a high proportion of CO2 emissions. At the same time, it is responsible for an immense consumption of resources and an extremely high volume of waste. In order to meet the targets set by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Werner Sobek calls for an immediate paradigm shift in the building industry.

At the expert discussion organised by the Green Party, representatives of top-level research from Baden-Württemberg will discuss the upcoming problems and possible solutions with practitioners from architecture, the housing industry and the trades.

The event will take place on a hybrid basis, participation is possible after registration.
