Light as Carrier of Emotions
Our built home does not consist solely of the building materials used. It consists of smells, sounds and, last but not least, light. Light incidence, light intensity or the play of light and shadow in interiors play an enormous role in our quality of life.
In his 14th statement, Werner Sobek predicts that in the course of the kima change we will inevitably have to say goodbye to unrestricted material prosperity. At the same time, the immaterial in architecture, such as the factor of light, will gain in importance again.
Until the end of October 2022, the Architekturzentrum in the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf is showing the exhibition “Werner Sobek: 17 Statements”. It deals with the ecological impact and responsibility of the building industry.
