Membrane Structure in Mexico
We are pleased to have realized another beautiful project in Mexico together with the architectural office FGP Atelier. The atrium of the new library of the Technical University of Monterrey is covered by a filigree membrane construction. A printed PTFE foil with a total surface of approx. 630 m² is supported by trussed steel girders. It serves as protection against sun and rain. The project name “La Hoja” (Spanish for “leaf”) refers on the one hand to the image motifs printed on the membrane, but also symbolizes the light construction of the wide-span roof.
