New Crossing Preserves Nature
A bicycle bridge designed and planned by us in Tübingen was recently put into operation. The reinforced concrete composite bridge spans the Neckar River like an elegantly recessed ribbon. It makes it possible to experience the natural area below the barrage with its sandbanks, water birds and floodplain landscapes from above. As little surface area as possible was sealed. When planning the lighting, care was taken to minimize light pollution.
The bike path bridge is located at a listed weir in the east of Tübingen.
