Ökozid: Werner Sobek Speaks at Schauspiel Stuttgart
In 2034, a coalition of 31 countries in the Global South is suing Germany; drought and floods are about to destroy their livelihoods. Now the court has to decide whether German policymakers will be held accountable for their failure to set targets against climate change.
At the Stuttgart Climate Action Day on June 24, 2023, Schauspiel Stuttgart will present the play “Ökozid,” based on the television film produced by ARD and directed by Andres Veiel. For this, Prof. Werner Sobek will give the introductory lecture as guest speaker.
