Opening of the new adidas Arena

The new headquarters in Herzogenaurach was officially opened on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the sports group adidas. The company headquarters, designed by Behnisch architects, stands on 67 V-shaped composite columns and was elevated 12.5 m above the ground. The special: The steel construction of the upper floors was pre-assembled and lifted on auxiliary supports approx. 2 m high in order to be lowered onto the subsequently assembled supports.

Werner Sobek is proud to have received the German Steel Engineering Award 2019 with the structural design of the adidas Arena and wishes the 2,100 employees who move into the building a lot of pleasure with their new headquarters.
