Production is Decisive for Assessing Energy Efficiency
The use phase of buildings is not sufficient to assess their energy efficiency, warns Werner Sobek. Because energy consumption and emissions are highest during production, this phase must be taken into account much more than before when talking about the energy and emissions balance of our buildings.
Until the end of October 2022, the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf is showing the exhibition “Werner Sobek: 17 Theses“. It deals with the ecological impact and responsibility of the building industry.
