Prof. Sobek Receives the ULI Germany Leadership Award 2021

“Prof. Werner Sobek receives this year’s ULI Award in the Innovation category because he has shaped the discourse on resource-efficient building and construction nationally and internationally like no other in the past three decades – as a teacher, as a researcher and as a practising architect and structural engineer in equal measure”. We would like to thank the laudator Franz-Josef Höing, Chief Building Director of Hamburg, and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) for presenting the ULI Germany Leadership Award 2021. ULI is a global, member-led research and educational organisation that addresses issues of sustainable development and use of cities. Roland Bechmann, CEO and partner of Werner Sobek AG, accepted the award on behalf of Prof. Sobek, who was prevented from attending at short notice.
