Reminiscent of the Industrial Buildings of the 1920s
One of our structural engineering projects in Frankfurt is “The Brick 2.0“, an office building for Deutsche Bahn AG with a 66 metre high tower, the “DB Tower“. The building, designed by Schmidt Plöcker Architekten from Frankfurt am Main, is part of the Boulevard Mitte neighbourhood and is part of the “urban city within the city” concept.
With its gridded brick facade and generous window openings, “The Brick” is reminiscent of the industrial buildings of the 1920s and refers to the history of the former industrial areas of the Europaviertel.
