Serial Architecture

The company Aktivhaus (founded by Werner Sobek and Klaus Fischer) is one of the winners of a competition launched by GdW, Germany’s biggest federation of housing associations. Participants in the competition were asked to design prefabricated units that can be mounted in a short period of time and with a tight budget – and which still offer high architectural quality. The aktivhaus concept designed by Werner Sobek was found to be among the very best of the manifold ideas that were handed in.
