Setting an Example in Energy Efficiency: The Urban Quarter P18
P18 is the largest wooden house quarter planned to date in Germany by a single investor. The client’s wish was to set a milestone in sustainable and serial construction with this project.
The six buildings are made of prefabricated timber modules and have PVT collectors that generate both electricity and heat. And they have exhaust-air heat pumps for heat recovery. In the annual balance, the residential home for staff of the Bad Cannstatt Clinic generates more energy from sustainable sources than it needs.
The first construction phase of P18 was recently completed, and preparations for the second phase are already underway.
We are very pleased to be able to accompany this exciting project as planners!
