Shade for the Desert
The World Exposition EXPO 2020 opened its doors in October 2021. Here, more than 190 nations present themselves with spectacular buildings. We are pleased that we were able to make a significant contribution to the design of the EXPO site with our filigree shading systems. The roof construction, which connects all the national pavilions, spans a total area of 96,000 square metres. Werner Sobek was responsible for the general planning, the design, the supporting structure, the TGA planning and the sustainability concept of the wide-span system.
