Sophistication
On May 25, 2023, after almost three decades of teaching at the University of Stuttgart, Werner Sobek gave his farewell lecture in front of an audience of more than 900 people. After around 90 minutes, Werner Sobek left the stage for the last time as a lecturer to a standing ovation.

A very special moment of the evening was the laudatory speech by Düsseldorf architect Christoph Ingenhoven. “Sophistication is the central term for me to describe you,” said the long-time friend and companion of Werner Sobek.
