Structural Planning for the “Vertical City”
The FOUR high-rise ensemble was designed by the Amsterdam architectural firm UNStudio, Werner Sobek Frankfurt was responsible for the structural engineering in a joint venture with Bollinger + Grohmann. The construction site on the Deutsche Bank premises in Frankfurt am Main is one of the largest that Frankfurt has ever seen. The project is based on the concept of the “vertical city” with approx. 213,000 m² of floor space on a site of only approx. 16,000 m².
