A new hall of residence in Greifswald offers students not only affordable and comfortable, but also energy-efficient living: The modular passive house in timber construction offers living space on four floors. Werner Sobek developed a highly efficient energy concept for the pilot project with flexible sun protection elements and an in-house photovoltaic system and geothermal energy. The sophisticated building system was designed so that it can easily be transferred to other university locations.
