About the Challenges Facing Humanity
Our company founder Prof. Werner Sobek will receive the Gold Medal Award from the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) in London on 23 September 2024. According to IStructE, the reason for this important award is his “innovative work on adaptive structures” and his “significant research into the contribution of civil engineering to climate change“.
In seven short videos, which were recorded on the occasion of receiving the Gold Medal, Werner Sobek comments on key topics of his work. The first statement deals with the challenges that humanity will have to overcome in the coming decades.
