Towards a circular economy

Our UMAR experimental unit on the NEST campus in Dübendorf, Switzerland, demonstrates how a high-quality built environment can be created with products from waste processes – and how we ensure that all components of a building can be returned to technical or biological cycles. UMAR shows in an exemplary fashion how aesthetics and responsible use of resources can be combined. A video, which was produced on the occasion of IFAT (the world’s leading international trade fair for waste and raw materials management), highlights the solutions we developed for UMAR. We are pleased that our project has become part of a series of outstanding lighthouse projects in this way.
