We Must Build Differently Today
For decades, we have all failed to discuss the requirements for building in the future. Rapidly progressing climate change now demands blatant changes in the shortest possible time. We need to find new approaches to planning. And we need to establish a new kind of dialogue about the problems at hand. The necessary changes in the way we plan and build must be communicated in a transparent and understandable way.
Architects and engineers all have a duty here.
Until the end of October 2022, the Architekturzentrum in the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf is showing the exhibition “Werner Sobek: 17 Statements”. It deals with the ecological impact and responsibility of the building industry.
