With Research against Climate Change
In the magazine “Die Architekt“, our CEO and director of the ILEK (Institute for Lightweight Design and Construction) Lucio Blandini comments on the traditionally close cooperation between architects and civil engineers at Stuttgart University. In the special research area “Adaptive Hulls and Structures”, the plurality in architecture benefits from the research work of engineers. At the same time, Lucio Blandini points out that a whole bundle of strategies and measures will be necessary in the building industry to be able to cope with problems such as climate change or resource depletion.
