Aktivhaus-Siedlung in Böblingen
A sustainable housing estate has been constructed in Dagersheim in the south-east German district of Böblingen using Aktivhaus timber modules developed by Werner Sobek. The estate consists of five two-storey detached buildings that contain a grand total of 26 apartments and were built in a remarkably short period of time.
Fast-Paced, Climate-Friendly Construction
The project’s residential buildings come with generously sized terraces and are grouped around a courtyard that features play facilities and a communal lounge complete with a bathroom and kitchen.
Photovoltaic modules up on the roof and air-source heat pumps for heating and hot water allow the estate to operate using an environmentally friendly energy supply.
