Arcapita Headquarters
Arcapita’s headquarters is a centrepiece of the urban redevelopment of Bahrain Bay. The main building is a cubic body resting on two cores. With a length of 135 m and a width of 40 m, it floats 15 metres above the building’s entrance area. Werner Sobek was responsible for the structural engeneering of the project and advised the steel construction company carrying out the work.
Wavy Concrete Structure as Building Entrance
The total height of the building is approximately 25 metres. Between the ground and the cubic body, an undulating concrete structure forms the building’s entrance area.
The new administration building in the business centre of Bahrain was constructed according to plans by Skidmore Owings Merrill (New York/USA). The extravagant building is located directly on the Persian Gulf.
