Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)
In the centre of Baghdad, directly on the banks of the Tigris, is the 172 m high building of the Central Bank of Iraq. The tower and the adjacent sculptural podium were designed by the internationally renowned architect Zaha Hadid. The Baghdad-born architect, architecture professor and designer led an international team of planners on this typically extravagant project.
Extremely High Safety Standards
The three-dimensional UHPC cladding and glass facades with their complex geometry, which we helped to develop, follow extremely high standards in terms of bomb safety and resistance to attack. The Central Bank building is located in the city’s little-protected “Green Zone”. We are proud to have been part of such an overwhelming project!
