Cologne Airport – Car park
Cologne-Bonn Airport was extended with a new terminal building at the end of the 1990s due to the constantly increasing number of passengers. Werner Sobek Stuttgart was not only responsible for the completely glazed facade of Terminal 2, but also supervised the structural engineering and calculation of the three new multi-storey car parks that were built in the course of the extension.
Glazed Terminal and Mesh Outer Skin
The multi-storey car parks have an outer skin made of steel mesh, which allows the free air circulation required in multi-storey car parks and at the same time protects users from wind and rain.
