Deutsche Post Furniture
Werner Sobek created furniture for a trade fair stand for Deutsche Post AG. On an area of 120 m², a multitude of wing-shaped wall elements with black, rubber-like surfaces were configured into a space-creating spiral. Eight of the wall elements were fitted with coloured LEDs on one side and formed a high-quality screen 9.60 m wide and 1.60 m high.
Extravagant with High Haptic and Aesthetic Quality
Next to the large screen, smaller monitors that could be pulled out of black columns informed visitors about individual details and questions. The retreat areas for personal consultation were equipped with specially designed, three-dimensionally curved furniture. They, too, were given a rubber-like covering, which was characterised by its high haptic quality and high resilience.
