Dubai Opera House

The Dubai Opera House is located in the business district of Dubai, on the Burj Khalifa lake. Werner Sobek was responsible for planning the roof and facade. The building reaches a total height of 44 m, its ground plan is reminiscent of the traditional sailing boats of the region, the “dhow”.

Ornamental Facade for Dubai’s Opera

The facade engineering included not only all the exterior facades but also the large canopy roof, which has a particularly complex design due to the geometry of the building, various sliding glass doors, the interior wood panelling and the interior facade of the so-called sky restaurant.

A special challenge of the project was its short construction time.
