Ems-Brücke K 2

Werner Sobek was commissioned to design a new bridge over the River Ems, which is to be built in the district of Steinfurt between Saerbeck and Emsdetten. The structure crosses the floodplain in an even curve with a constant longitudinal gradient.

Project Planning and Structural Design from a Single Source

After examining several variants, the decision was made in favour of a carriageway bridge with a steel composite superstructure and tree-like supports.
