General Motors Stand

The exhibition stand of General Motors at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit was designed by the renowned office of George P. Johnson. Werner Sobek was responsible for the structural engineering of the special structures.

Twisted Walls for Detroit Show

These so-called “twisted walls” were steel space trusses clad with aluminium sheeting. They were partially suspended from the ceiling and cantilevered out up to 16 m.
