GSZ (Gesundheitszentrum) In Wien

Seestadt Health and Safety Centre

The Seestadt Health and Safety Centre is currently being constructed for charitable aid agency Samaritan Austria in the Seestadt quarter of Vienna. Werner Sobek is responsible for structural engineering on this elegant project that was designed by architectural firm AllesWirdGut Architektur.

Timber-concrete hybrid made from prefabricated modules

The project’s structural engineering specifies a highly systematised, industrialised approach to construction overall. As such, prefabricated modules are being deployed extensively throughout the development.

Another notable feature of the project is its use of timber-concrete hybrid constructions, some of which span significant distances (as seen in the Centre’s logistics hall).
