Hall 3A NurembergMesse

The NurembergMesse has been enlarged in a first construction stage with the addition of Hall 3A. The new hall is located next to the existing exhibition Hall 3 in the south-eastern part of the trade fair grounds. Distinguishing features of the new exhibition hall include the hanging steel/aluminium hybrid facade consisting of welded T-sections (posts) and special object-related aluminium profiles (beams). The dead load of the glass panels is transmitted downward via the posts so that the aluminium beams need only withstand horizontal wind loads. This design approach made it possible to implement a filigree supporting structure with beams spans of 5,000 mm.

Top Rated in the Category Assembly Centres

Werner Sobek carried out sustainability certification for Hall 3A sustainability certification in accordance with DGNB. The life cycle costs were also calculated, a life cycle assessment was prepared and a daylight simulation simulation was carried out. The building was awarded the highest rating level (platinum) and is the best-certified building in the the best-rated building in its class in the “Assembly centres” building in its class.

The new building is located in the south-eastern part of the exhibition centre next to the existing exhibition hall 3.
