Main Yard Frankfurt

Werner Sobek is responsible for the structural design of the ‘Main Yard’ project in Frankfurt am Main. As part of the development of the new city quarter in the Allerheiligenviertel district, six new buildings are being constructed in solid construction, resting on a common two-storey base. The load transfer of the seven single-storey buildings is partly realised via prestressed flat slabs.

Load-Bearing Capacity for New Urban Neighbourhood

The design for the neighbourhood with around 300 rental flats, commercial and restaurant space and a hotel was created by Munich-based a+p Architekten in collaboration with TEK TO NIK Architekten Manfred Wenzel from Frankfurt am Main. The new Main Yard quarter on the edge of Frankfurt’s city centre is intended to positively revitalise the district.
