Médecins sans Frontières

Werner Sobek was commissioned with the structural engineering for the new headquarters of Médecins Sans Frontières in Geneva, Switzerland. The new building was designed by Sauerbruch Hutton and is characterised by a spacious interior and a faxade with three-dimensional plantings.

Sustainable Structure for Humanitarian Headquarters

The growing importance of the organisation ‘Doctors Without Borders’ required a larger headquarters. The building, completed in 2022, was designed and built to be highly sustainable, which is why the project was awarded the 2024 Plan Award.
