Mercedes-Benz Motorsport
The Motorsport Set, which Werner Sobek designed for Mercedes-Benz in 2005, is intended to support and promote the brand at international racing events such as Formula 1 and the DTM.
The pavilion consists of two building modules – the M-box and U-nit and the so-called Wings. The modularly designed wings function as space-creating elements that structure the interior. They are also used as an overarching element for brand communication and ensure a high recognition value.
Modular Wings for High Brand Recognition Value
The exhibition area allows for the presentation of vehicles, the sale of merchandising articles and can be used for special events, such as interviews or live music.
The pavilion is set up shortly before a race weekend under a wide variety of climatic conditions, used during the race days and dismantled afterwards.
The extremely flexible handling of the set placed the highest demands on the development of the construction, its logistics, the engineering and, last but not least, the design.
