New Residential Development on Sieben-Höfe-Strasse

The new development of the residential area on Sieben-Höfe-Straße in Tübingen aims to combine social concerns with aspects of sustainability. Therefore, nineteen multi-family houses with gable roofs are being built, each arranged in small groups of two to three houses. In addition to sustainability, Werner Sobek is responsible for the structural engineering, building physics and building services for this fascinating project.

A Symbiosis between Social Needs & Sustainability

The development’s dwellings consist of timber constructions that sit above basement levels and an underground parking garage made of reinforced concrete. This design was chosen to reflect the historic, village-like character of the project’s location in Derendingen, a district of Tübingen located close to the city centre and on the edge of the Rammert nature reserve.
