The shell of the imaginary R 129 living capsule is made of plastic, which is extremely light and transparent. Its supporting structure consists of hollow carbon beams. By means of a switchable electrochromic foil, the shell can be darkened either in sections or completely, or it can be made completely opaque.

Study of a Lving Capsule

The base plate consists of a carbon body and supports a heating and a technical floor. This provides storage capacity as well as connections for electricity, water, compressed air and communication lines.

The interior of R129 has no fixed, immovable partitions between the various functional areas. Instead, the sanitary and kitchen installations are located in a movable, location-independent central unit.
