Reesepark I
The City of Augsburg’s Housing Association was planning to construct a new high-density, multi-storey housing complex on the site of the former Reese Barracks in Augsburg – in Reesepark I, subsidised flats as well as a supermarket, a café and a drugstore were built.
Subsidised Flats to KfW Efficiency House 55
Located on Ulmer Straße, the site’s residential buildings also contain space for commercial use on the ground floor. The multi-storey project was planned in accordance with the funding guidelines for social housing developments. Overall, the complex consists of an eastern section with a footprint of 5,300 m² and a western section with a footprint of 2,500 m². An underground garage with approx. 200 parking spaces is situated in the basement.
Designed by Titus Bernhard Architekten, the new development is made up of two five-storey sections that include a total of 141 residential units. The ground floor contains retail space and associated ancillary areas (for deliveries, storage, parking, etc.). Built using a conventional load-bearing construction, the project has an overall gross floor area of approx. 26,500 m². Thanks to the meticulous application of building physics analysis to the entire planning process, the new structures have also achieved the KfW Efficiency House 55 Standard for energy efficiency.
