Riederwald Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge
With a span of 53 m, the integral structure spans the A66 motorway in one go. The foot and cycle path bridge elegantly connects the Frankfurt districts of Seckbach and Bergen-Enkheim with the Fechenheimer Wald recreation area.
Integral Structure Connects City & Recreation Area
Reinforced concrete cantilevers extend the two abutments, which are founded on drilled piles, towards the carriageways. The central steel cross-section of the structure consists of two lateral hollow sections. Between them is the orthotropic carriageway slab, which is flexurally rigidly connected to the cantilevers.
