SSB Station
As part of a study for the SSB, Werner Sobek developed a prototype for new stops. It is characterised by its modular design, which allows for easy adaptation to different requirements. As a cubic solitaire visible from afar, the prototype combines the necessary technical, informative and functional equipment in a compact structure.
Cubic Solitaire in a Compact Structure
All profiles, glass formats and materials used are kept in a simple geometry and are therefore easily interchangeable. In order to keep additional work and costs low, the grid of the modules was adapted to the existing foundation structure. Digital and analogue displays, advertising boards, handrails, waste bins, loudspeakers and lighting are coordinated with each other and complement each other perfectly in terms of both form and content.
