SWM Heilbronn

Werner Sobek was responsible for the structural engineering of the single-storey building of the office of the employers’ association Südwestmetall in Heilbronn. The structure of the building essentially consists of a reinforced concrete construction.

Stainless Steel Bands Underline Corporate Identity

In the area of the storey-high glazing on the longitudinal sides of the building, the ceiling rests on minimised supports made of stainless steel. To emphasise the corporate identity of the employers’ association of the metal industry, the entire wall and roof surfaces of the reinforced concrete structure are covered with a mesh of filigree stainless steel strips.
