The Foundry

Over 100 years ago, red-hot steel was cast into moulds for cannon barrels in the former gun foundry in Berlin-Spandau – directly on the Spree and Havel rivers.

The historic buildings are to be reactivated and parts of the site made accessible to the public. The project is currently in the construction phase and has been given the illustrious name “The Foundry“.

Former Foundry and Grain Store, Now Commercial Campus

Two vacant listed industrial halls, which were built between 1871 and 1874, are being renovated and converted into high-quality office space. Approx. 20,000 m² of office space will be realised.

IFT is responsible for the inspection of the structural engineering including construction supervision as part of the inspection.
